The second Hungry Jack’s NBL Season for South East Melbourne’s Dash Daniels has been nothing short of exceptional.
Through the first five games with his new team, the 18-year-old is averaging career highs in points (14.6), rebounds (6.6), assists (2.6), three-point percentage (41.7 on 4.8 attempts) and steals (0.8).
He’s turning plenty of heads too, with Lead Scout/NBA Draft Insider for Bleacher Report, Jonathan Wasserman, saying “[Daniels] looks noticeably more confident and in command with his touch shots.”

While NBA Draft analyst Rafael Barlowe praised the growth of the NBL Next Star.
“I already knew he could defend. That’s never really been the question for me. What has surprised me is the confidence and aggression he’s playing with offensively," Barlow said.
“He’s finding different ways to impact games. He’s crashing the offensive glass for putbacks. He’s bringing some scrappiness and creating extra possessions.
“He has a nose for the basketball. He’s attacking closeouts and looking to get downhill. But more than anything, he just looks confident.”
Daniels and his Phoenix play his former side Melbourne United in Throwdown 34 from 7.30pm AEDT on Saturday, live on ESPN, 9 and 9Now.
