Former NBL Next Star Ariel Hukporti double-doubled for Melbourne against Illawarra during Round 4 of the Hungry Jack’s NBL24 Season.

Before making the jump to the NBA and helping the New York Knicks reach the 2026 NBA Finals, Ariel Hukporti was excelling in the Hungry Jack’s NBL.

Across three seasons with Melbourne United, the German big man made 66 appearances for the club.

One game of note came in Round 4 of the NBL24 season against the Illawarra Hawks.

During the October 20 fixture at the WIN Entertainment Centre, the NBL Next Star posted 21 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 1 block to help United defeat the Hawks 101-91.
