South East Melbourne Phoenix forward Malique Lewis has become the 13th NBL Next Star drafted directly to the NBA.

South East Melbourne Phoenix Next Star Malique Lewis has been selected with pick 60 at the NBA Draft.

The Trinidad and Tobago talent rose sharply in Draft projections this week, fulfilling his NBA dream by joining the Milwaukee Bucks with the final pick at the Draft.

Lewis, 21, played for the Phoenix for two years, averaging 6.9 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.2 steals a game across the Hungry Jack’s NBL26 Season.

He becomes the 13th NBL Next Star drafted directly to the NBA.
