Next Star Izan Almansa is the latest NBL player to land an NBA opportunity, reportedly signing a deal with the Philadelphia 76ers.

According to NBA insider for Clutch Points, Brett Siegel, Almansa has “agreed to a contract with the 76ers”.

The Spaniard spent the Hungry Jack’s NBL26 Season with the Perth Wildcats, averaging 6.8 points and 3.9 rebounds a game, across 33 appearances.

It capped off a huge day for the NBL, with fellow Next Stars Rocco Zikarsky and Alex Toohey selected by the Minnesota Timberwolves and Golden State Warriors respectively, and Illawarra champion Lachlan Olbrich picked up by the Chicago Bulls.
