The National Basketball League (NBL) and B.LEAGUE have deepened their international collaboration, uniting for the 19th edition of the adidas Eurocamp — the premier global showcase for draft-eligible basketball talent.
Taking place from June 5–7, 2026 in Treviso, the camp will once again bring together elite prospects from Europe, the United States, LATAM, Africa, Australia, APAC and emerging markets. The event will be attended by hundreds of scouts, coaches, executives and agents from NBA and EuroLeague organisations, reinforcing its reputation as a key pathway to the professional ranks.
Following a successful debut in 2025, the NBL Next Stars program returns with a dedicated team led by three-time NBA Champion Phil Handy.
The roster features standout young talent from Australia and New Zealand, including Dash Daniels, Malique Lewis and Jai Fa’ale.
The full squad, which will be announced in the coming days, will get together in Italy on June 1, where they are set to go through three days of on-court training and off-court experiences in Venice and Treviso — to better prepare for the start of the Adidas Eurocamp.
In a significant development, the NBL has partnered with the B.LEAGUE to bolster the squad with Japanese prospect Yuto Imanishi of the NAGOYA DIAMOND DOLPHINS.
The 2006-born point guard, who earned Best Defensive Player honours at NBA Basketball Without Borders Asia 2023, will join the Next Stars team in Italy for an immersive week of elite competition and development.
“Our partnership with the B.LEAGUE continues to open meaningful global pathways for emerging talent, and Yuto’s inclusion is a great example of that in action,” said NBL Chief Operating Officer and Head of Basketball Operations, Vince Crivelli.
“Bringing a player of his calibre into the NBL Next Stars environment for adidas Eurocamp not only strengthens our program, but reflects a shared commitment between the NBL and B.LEAGUE to developing and showcasing the next generation of international players on the world stage.”
This initiative underlines the ongoing commitment to innovate on the world stage for the NBL’s globally respected Next Stars program, which continues to develop its reputation as a proven pathway for young prospects across the world.
Next Stars have been selected in each of the past six NBA Drafts, with six prospects from the program snapped up across the past two NBA Drafts alone.
This year’s Adidas Eurocamp will also feature appearances from NBA talent including Franz Wagner, Bogdan Bogdanović and VJ Edgecombe, who will mentor participants and share insights on the journey to the NBA.
