The Illawarra Hawks’ rise in recent weeks has also seen the rise of one of the league’s most exciting young prospects, AJ Johnson – who now sits at pick 23 in Yahoo’s NBA Mock Draft.

Enjoying more minutes and more production, the Next Star logged 14 minutes, eight points and three assists against Perth.

While Alex Sarr is perched in the number one spot, Johnson has shot up the rankings to be the second-ranked Next Star overall, according to NBA draft analyst Krysten Peek.

A big first half from Bobi Klintman for the Cairns Taipans against Adelaide, where he scored 20 points in an 11-minute stretch, has him predicted as the 24th selection.

Trentyn Flowers has moved into a starting role at the Adelaide 36ers and he’s enjoying more court-time in recent weeks.

A 23-point haul in October was his best performance to date, but the 18-year-old should enjoy more minutes later in the season with Adelaide struggling to climb the standings.

Flowers is among four Next Stars ranked in Yahoo’s top 30 prospects, ranked at number 26.
