Sydney Kings Next Star Alex Toohey has been selected with the 52nd overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, landing at the Golden State Warriors via the Phoenix Suns.

The 21-year-old impressed throughout the pre-draft process, showcasing his high basketball IQ and two-way versatility.


Toohey is coming off a strong second season in the Hungry Jack's NBL, where he displayed an improved outside shot and the craft to finish in transition.

He averaged over 10 points and four rebounds per game for the Kings, delivering standout moments that cemented his NBA potential.
